Natural spread:

Airedales - beside the black Russian terriers - is that all terrier-races the biggest. The black saddle is characteristic up to the neck and to the rod-top. Size: 56-61 cm. Weight: 20-23 kg. Fur: roughly, densely, water-repellent / schwarz-lohfarben.

The Airedale was bred in the valley of the Aire in Yorkshire to the badger and otter-hunt. it was created through the crossing of an old terrier-hit with the Otter-Hound in the 19.-century.

The Airedale is intelligent and affectionate. it changes its hair-dress twice per year and should also be trimmed then.
