American Standardbred Scientific name: EquusNatural spread: America typical trot-race horse with the characteristics of an accomplishment-emphasized blood-horse. Big, somewhat strong head and short neck. Straight or wrong neck, that one strengthens, steep and long shoulder originates from. Deep chest with much area for lung and heart. Little withers, long, somewhat weak back, Z.T. weak kidney. Slope, very muscular long croup, often strong build over. Hard, dry extremities with good hooves, frequently something adjusts. Trot and passport-race horses were popular in America already very early, one bred some hits in Rhode Iceland, Virginia and Canada. Hambletonian, that went back Messenger to Darley Arabian over the thoroughbred, is regarded as founders of the race. On the mother's side, it leads old, English trotter-lines and also Messenger-Blut across the Norfolktraber Bellfounder. Through consistent selection and close line-breeding, one created an easy trot-race horse.
