Belgian sheepdogs is divided into four hits: the black, long-haired Groenendael, the bay, sooty Tervueren, the bay, short-haired Malinois, the bay ones or dawns, rough-hairy Laekenois. Size: 62 cm. Weight: 30-32 kg. Fur: differently according to hit.

The Belgian sheepdogs were pure work-dogs with irregular look in the 19.-century. Only 1891, the four hits were established and were bred.

The watch and protection-instinct is innate for all Belgian sheepdogs. they are very child-friendly, however, also a consistent education, much movement and activity need.
