the head of the Cairn-Terriers is wider and shorter than with other terrier-races, its physique stocky. Size: 25-30 cm. Weight: 6-7,5 kg. Fur: shaggy, densely, water-repellent and doppellagig / it is bred in five fur-colors.

The race originated in the 16. Century, with what it got its present-day name only 1909. In the old England, it will hunt with help of the Cairn-Terrier foxes and other game-animals.

The Cairn-Terrier is courageous and watchful. Today, it is a popular, well trainable family-dog.
