the Egyptian Mau belongs one of the oldest cat-races. it looks like the wild fallow-cat and was not changed by in-crossing of other races. The race still is admired by the Egyptians. It is not allowed to execute an animal from Egypt. Especially, the penalties are very high with bronze-colored animals!

There are three color-types with this race: Silver, bronze and smock. All show dark, punctual insignia. The fur is finely and silken, densely and with touch elastic.
