the Japanese stub-tail-cat, shortly Bobtail named, is not completely tailless like the Manx but it possesses a small stub-tail. Originally this race comes from Japan where it is called Mi-Ke and is regarded as lucky-cat and symbol of the hospitality. Ceramics-figures of the Japanese stub-tail-cat stand with raised little paws in most Japanese households in order to be called the guest cordially welcome.

The Bobtail becomes black, red and white in the colors, or Tortie with white bred. However, also many other color-reductions already are acknowledged. The fur is middle-long and strongly shiny. The Japanese stub-tail-cat is a moderate-sized, slim cat, which is quite muscular despite its dainty figure. The hind legs are longer than the front-legs like with the Manx-Katze. The tail consists only of one small stub. The head resembles that of the Siamesen. it should form an equilateral triangle out of the ear-tops to the nose. The eyes are big, oval and easily diagonally standing.

The Bobtail has a mild nature and is very intelligent. it gets along extremely well with other animals and is very human-referential. it is an extremely friendly cat.

The Japanese stub-tail-cat has as the name already says it, only one stub-tail. its balance-feeling is confused by it, moreover there often are problems with the spinal column. This race has no more much "natural as well" To do cats and actually should the animal for the sake of is not bred.
