the beautiful silvery-blue Korat comes from a very old breeding, that relatively rarely occurs. Outside the original-country Thailand, one sees it less. The Korat is regarded as lucky-bringing cat in Thailand. it is estimated by the Thais very much and allowed to become hand over only worthy people originally. The legend says that the silver-tapped (silver-colored end-coloring) fur wealth for the dealer and merchant, rain-clouds for the builder and a happy one Marriage as well as a happy home for the bride means. For the builder, the green eyes furthermore still symbolize young rice-plants.

The real Korat always is silver-blue from birth on. The simple, tapped fur is short until middle-long and lies narrowly flat on the body. The Korat has a small one, softly driven and muscular physique. its weight is unexpectedly high for its size. it has a very strong bone-construction. The strong legs are from moderate length, that somewhat more shortly than the rear ones fore. the tail is middle-long. The Korat has a heart-shaped face. The Stirne is big and flat. The big ears sit highly on the head. One weak stop separates forehead and nose. its big, shining-green eyes are iridescent, watchful and expressive. they almost are to big for its face.

The Korat-Katze is very cordial, affectionate and accessible in its nature and adapts itself to its surroundings without problems. it is very intelligent. they hear, see and smell marked. it is very quietly, its voice is quiet. Korats don't like any sudden, loud sounds. One keeps it in mind that Korat-Katzen develop slowly and "ugly ducklings" are as young-cats.
