in small appealing dog, who attracts attention particularly through its long, pure-white hair. The dark oval eyes form a wonderful contrast to it. Size: 20-25 cm. Weight: 2-3 kg. Fur: long, white until tender lemon-yellow.

The Maltese is regarded as one of Europe's oldest lap-dogs. it was probably brought to Malta before several centuries of the Phoenicians and a tüchtger rat-catcher was despite its dainty look.

This race is friendly and adaptable.
