the Mendes or Addaxantilope is so near relative with the skewer-bucks and the saber-antelopes, that it crosses fertile with these. its withers-height amounts by 110 cm, the weight by 120 kg. The Mendesantilope is powerfully built. The color of the summer-fur is predominantly white. In the winter, neck and torso assume a more gray coloring. The winter-fur is denser and longer than the smoothly to be done summer-fur. A short mane is at the neck-underside. A dark forehead-mop of hair is conspicuous. The face is gray-white drawn.
Both sexes carry horns, that are crosswise-curled in the low two third and form 2-3 spiral-shaped meanders.
