The trunk-form was bred by nomadically living people, the Samojeden, supposedly in the arctic areas of the Ural east.

The Samojeden are not only valued sleigh-dogs but also beautiful, friendly family-dogs. they are very outgoing and hunt-funny. However, Samojeden should not be held in the city.
