the Sheltie or Shetland Sheepdog resembles the collie optically very much, is, however, essentially smaller. Size: 32-37 cm. Weight: 6-7 kg. Fur: double hair-dress, long and dense.

This race comes from Great Britain and originated in the 19. Century. With the pure-breeding of the Shelties, it turned however only into beginning of the 20. Century begun.

The Sheltie is active and clever. An extremely affectionate dog, who also sometimes behaves reserved opposite strangers.
