the Singapura really comes, as the name already says it, from Singapore. There it became known as Drain Cat because it is supposed to have lived in drain pipes (drains). In Singapore, these cats live wildly in the streets still today. its origin explains also the small body of this cat. With us, also like in America, this very rarely is race.

There is the Singapura only in one color: Seal sepia (Sable) Aguti Tabby. This looks, like old ivory, with ribbons in dark Bronze-sound and a Ticking in warm Créme, what of this race an elegant look gives. The fur is very short and fine, smoothly to be done and from silken shine. The body is small until moderate-sized, with good musculature. its legs are very muscular. The paws are small and oval. The bales should be brown-pink. its tail is rather short and slim. The head is round, with an easy indentation above the Nasenrückens. The ears are deeply curved, big and pointed tapered. The gigantic, almost outsized almond-shaped eyes are a conspicuous characteristic. they should be green, yellow or hazelnut-brown.

The race is very restrained and shy. Nevertheless, the Singapura is quite sociable and balanced. It is mild cats. they love being together with people.
