as one of the first Züchtungen achieved the chinchilla-race an independent class in the year 1894 in Great Britain for itself. Silver Lambkin was called the first chinchilla deck-tomcats and stands in an English museum still today. The chinchilla was created from the race of the Persians.

The sub-wool of the chinchilla is purely white. The fur is silken, long and dense. An especially big neck-frill is conspicuous. Chinchilla-cats have a silver-white fur, which possesses a beaming shine, because each individual hair has a raven top in the end. The wise-share amounts to approximately seven eighth of a hair. Chin, ear-tuft, breast and stomach must know purely is. The body is big until moderate-sized, penetrated and muscular, with powerful bone-construction. The legs are short and stocky. The tail is short and bushy, rounded off easily in the end, with downward carried duster. The chinchilla has a big, wide and round head with full cheeks and far apart-standing, small, rounded off ears. The ears have hair-tufts at the top. The small, short and wide nose has a clear one "stop", that is, a powerful indentation at the nose-base. The eyes are big, round and profoundly emerald until blue-green. Around the eye-edges and about the brick-red one Nose-Spiegel is a fine one, completely naturally originated, black mascara-line.

The chinchilla-cat pleases its people with a trustful and friendly nature. Nevertheless, it puts a quite uncompromising autonomy on the day occasionally. Most of all it likes to play and spends hours with it, itself and, to amuse all in its company.

The fur of the chinchilla-cat, that impresses especially dense and silken nature through one, needs a daily intensive care.
