giant-schnauzersScientific name:
Canis lupus

the giant-schnauzer possesses a powerful, muscular physique. The Schulterlhöhe should correspond to the torso-length so that a quadratic building is built. Size: 60-70 cm. Weight: approximately 35 kg. Fur: black or pepper-salts.

This race originated in Germany in the 15.-century. One assumes that it emerged from smooth-hairy driver-dogs and rough-hairy sheepdogs. In its present-day shape, it was introduced to 1909 in Munich for the first time.

This dog is loyal and very watchful. Since it is very quick to learn, it is appointed also at the protection-service of the police and proves itself there.
